A native of San Diego, California, Karla Moheno is a New York City-based rock singer and songwriter. Moheno grew up listening to music from the 1950's and 1960's and later fell in love with early swing music. Following Moheno's move to New York City six years ago, the artist performed with several bands including Morricone Youth and a swing trio she formed called The Tickled Pinks. Moheno has played prestigious venues around New York including Rockwood Music Hall, Joe's Pub, Poisson Rouge, SRB Brooklyn, the Cutting Room, and the Knitting Factory. Karla Moheno released her debut solo album, Gone to Town in November 2013.
