Hit The Deck 2013 - First Announcement! Second Location Added!

Hit The Deck Festival is proud to announce the first 20 bands that will be appearing at this years events. Hit The Deck will now not only take place across Nottingham's Rock City, Rescue Rooms, Forum and Stealth venues on April 21st, but also in Bristol the day before on April 20th for the first time, at the o2 Academy 1 & 2, Thekla, Fleece and Exchange venues. The addition of Bristol for the 3rd year of Hit The Deck takes the combined capacity of the event to over 6,500, its biggest to date.

The first set of bands confirmed to appear are:

DON BROCO / WE ARE THE IN CROWD

NEVER SHOUT NEVER / WE ARE THE OCEAN

Bleeding Through / Title Fight

Army Of Freshman / Black Dogs / Bleed From Within / Evarose

SUNDAY 21st APRIL - NOTTINGHAM

DON BROCO / WE ARE THE IN CROWD

NEVER SHOUT NEVER / WE ARE THE OCEAN

Bleeding Through / Title Fight

Army Of Freshman / Black Dogs / Bleed From Within / Departures / Evarose

First Blood / Gnarwolves / Hundreth / Lostalone / The James Cleaver Quintet

Skies In Motion / Stick To Your Guns Summerlin / Vinnie Caruana

Don Broco's Rob Damiani and We Are The In Crowd's Taylor Jardine are excited about their appearances at the events, with both having fond memories of previous performances.

As Damiani explains, "going as punters 2 years ago we had an amazing time, and it was incredible to see a festival in its first year running so smooth! Last year we played the festival for the first time and it was easily one of our favourite sets of the year. Myself and Matt used to live in Nottingham, so Rock City is a very special place to us, and we've had some amazing shows in Bristol, so we're absolutely buzzing!"

Jardine adds, "we are so stoked to be invited back to Hit The Deck Festival! Last year it was my favourite show of the year! I swear, I'm not just saying that. I remember the crowd just going off and how much energy there was to feed off of. Here's hoping for the best show of 2013!"

More bands and attractions are due to be announced in the new year.
