It's not often that an unsigned demo coming into Jalapeno generates as much instant office love as this track. Coming across like a lost def mix tune from the early 90's it just had instant summer appeal.
Paperwork was swiftly signed and Hungarians Gero and Kullai joined the Jalapeno team.
The original was a diamond but a couple of remixes never hurt.
First up was german disco don Satin jackets who added some crisper drums, new strings and other production elements to turn it into a shimmering disco bomb. Satin Jackets has had a huge year with releases on Eskimo, Dikso and House of Disco as well as multiple killer remixes.
Finally garage hotshot Marcus Jakes gave it his own treatment with a neck snapping bassline that is destined to do damage for the rest of the summer.
Marcus has been on everybody's radar since his remix of Syron started cranking serious online plays and his remix of Animist was picked up by UKF / Subsoul for their latest compilation.
Expect an EP from Marcus on the label later in the year.
