Following the release of Claire's debut album 'The Great Escape' via Capitol Records on June 9th, the band are now pleased to announce they will be playing a show in London at Nordic-influenced venue Oslo, on September 24th.
Towards the end of 2013, after an exceptionally successful year in their home country with the album, Munich-based band Claire announced their first single for the UK would be 'Games', which impacted here in late January. A track who's video has now clocked up a huge 800k plays online it successfully paved the way for the UK release of the album this summer.
The band - fronted by the hugely engaging Josie Claire Bürkle - headed over to London at the start of the year to play three sold out key shows in support of the single. More recently they took a trip to SXSW for a string of shows, which saw them raise their profile no end in the US.
The album is the perfect soundtrack to the summer with a mix of post-pop and electro-indie, with a constant theme of breaking out of the daily grind and always remaining in the knowledge that the most insignificant moment can change a whole life.
