The album features three versions of the Game Of Thrones theme, "It's Always Summer Under The Sea" (Shireen's Song) by Kerry Ingram, And "The Bear And The Maiden Fair" by The Hold Steady. Two of them are previously unreleased. "Dark Wings, Dark Words" is a downtempo choir version of the theme, and "For The Realm" is a solo guitar version of the theme performed by Djawadi himself.
The soundtrack is currently available through all digital retailers, CD retail locations as well as the HBO Shop for the suggested retail price of £12.
Game of Thrones is based on George R.R. Martin's fantasy series A Song Of Ice and Fire, where political and sexual intrigue abound as seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros.
