As the band explain: 'At the end of 2013 we released our mini album Where the World Begins and due to other commitments and us still building the name, we didn't get the opportunity to tour it off our own back, so we really wanted to get to some places that bands don't go to all the time but what you've been asking for, to thank each and everyone for the mass of support we have received towards the tail end of 2013 right through 2014! It's been an amazing year so far and we wanted to do our own headline shows, so we can throw one hell of a party and you are all invited! We can't wait to show you what we've got and also some new songs as well!'
The band have already released their new mini album 'Where The World Begins' which featured song topics varying from dealing with pressure and judgement (' All The Rage'), being in a relationship with the wrong person ('Black Hearts'), questioning optimism ('My Colour Optimistic'), friends terrible decisions ('Foolish Friends') and not trusting your instincts ('The Smart Boy Regime'). Front-man Joe Green's immense and soulful vocal is such a dominant force on the music of EMPIRE, it recalls some of the rock greats, from Freddy Mercury to Cedric Bixler-Zavala (The Mars Volta/ATD-I), Chris Cornell to Corey Glover (Living Colour).
South West 5 piece EMPIRE will be hitting the road for their first ever, proper, full UK headline tour. ALL dates below:
