Brooklyn based artist Dawn Landes will return to the UK in May in support of her recently released, critically acclaimed new album Bluebird. Dawn will perform two shows in Manchester and London this May, before a full UK tour later this year.
Following tours with the likes of Midlake, Ray Lamontagne, Feist and ex-husband Josh Ritter, Dawn will perform tracks from her back-catalogue with a full band at these headline shows, beginning on May 30th.
An emotional journey, Bluebird (out now via Western Vinyl) is perhaps Dawn's most personal album yet. Often heart-wrenching, yet full of reflection and hope, it has thus far seen fantastic reviews from the likes of the Sunday Times, Evening Standard and Uncut, as well as tracks being supported by BBC 6Music.
Landes has previously collaborated in the studio with contemporaries like Will Oldham, Justin Townes Earle and Bonnie "Prince" Billy, while also appearing with The American Songbook Series, Boston Pops and with the NYC Ballet at Lincoln Center, singing as part of composer Nico Muhly's score.
Tickets are now on sale for the following shows:
Fri May 30th The Lexington, London
Sat May 31st Soup Kitchen, Manchester
Harvey Weinstein wanted one movie, and almost sacked Peter Jackson over it.
That final battle scene? Yeah, it was a poo-poo. Whatever that means.
