Cloud Boat presents their second live session at Trinity Church in Enfield. Beautifully orchestrated with strings and brass, Sam and Tom perform their song, "Kowloon Bridge," in an acoustic arrangement. Watch the engaging video atImpose now. The song will be in their upcoming LP, Book of Hours, on May 28 via Apollo / R&S Records. Preceded by a double A-side single for "Youthern" and "Hammerspace" which is out now. Flako takes a turn with "Youthern", listen above.
Cloud Boat are slowly but surely carving out a distinctive path for themselves as purveyors of gorgeous, shattered-heart soul bar none. Their new double A-side single, "Youthern" / "Hammerspace" continues that journey, combining majestic, choral soundscapes with alluring, fractured beats to devastating effect, and is yet another reason why their forthcoming album Book of Hours is destined to be one of the most stunningly, exquisitely heart wrenching albums you'll hear in 2013.
Cloud Boat have also been making rare live outings this year, playing headlines to packed rooms in London, Manchester, Birmingham & Bristol. They were again hand-picked to support James Blake on his recent UK dates, and most recently with Ghostpoet in Germany and Switzerland and at The Great Escape this weekend just gone. They play a headline show at The Lexington, London, on 29 May with support from equally ascendant label-mate, Nadine Shah, with select festivals being hit over the coming months, such as Pukkelpop & Rewire.
