Off the back of a brilliant reception to the announcement of his debut EP and title track 'Outside Things', Oxford based songwriter Charlie Cunningham has shared another new track from the release; the delicate and heartfelt 'Lights Off'.
This new taster of Charlie's EP (out 17th November on 12" & digital download), showcases his percussive guitar style with a more subtle and gentle edge. There is space and silence between intricate flourishes of guitar and playful vocal melodies. It's a fitting outro to an incredibly impressive debut EP that points towards a bright future for this rising British star.
Charlie Cunningham has seen early support from the likes of Zane Lowe and earned the position of Blogger's Choice 2014 at BBC Radio 1. Written on nylon-stringed guitar, his rhythmic and percussive style was honed after two years spent in Seville. With an EP containing some of the best acoustic tracks you will hear this year, he is set for a run of UK & Europe live dates with King Creosote and Mighty Oaks in the coming months, including a London show at Hackney's Oslo on 25th November.
