Beacons Festival 2014 British Sea Power, Joan As Police Woman Plus 27 More Acts Announced

Beacons Festival is proud to reveal details of a special performance with British Sea Power. Opening the main stage, British Sea Power will play an exclusive live soundtrack to the award winning film,From The Sea To The Land Beyond. Made from over 100 years of British Film Institute archive footage, award-winning director Penny Woolcock's critically acclaimed film is a portrait of our unique British coastline and the role it plays in our lives. Joan As Police Woman, following her recent sold out UK tour, is another big name added to the festival which happens over the weekend of the 8th August in Yorkshire Dales.

New band additions revealed today include Sheffield's 65DAYSOFSTATIC who recently celebrated ten years since their debut album The Fall Of Math. Nottingham's Indiana, with her recent Top 20 single, Solo Dancing joins Australian thrash pop duo DZ Deathrays, Techno-inspired live dance music from Vessels with critically acclaimed artists with debut albums out this year Paul Thomas Saundersand Post War Glamour Girls.

Beacons Festival now boasts the very best in exclusive performances and cutting-edge music with full arts and food programme being announced soon.
