Arbouretum Announces UK 2013 August Tour

After touring earlier this year around their newest release Coming Out of the Coming which came out in January via Thrill Jockey Records, acclaimed Balitmore Psych-rockersArbouretum are to return to these shores for a number of headline dates around the country (full dates below). The group will also be appearing at Green Man Festival and Doune The Rabbit Hole Festival.

Coming out of the Fog continues Arbouretum's journey as their most focused and best-recorded album to date, in their review MOJO Magazine called it "Smouldering epic-rock, with nature-based philosophies". Dave Heumann's vocals soar atop his guitar solos and Corey Allender's crunchy bass lines. Arbouretum have reigned in some of their maximalist tendencies, with every song coming in under 7 minutes. Heumann, Allender, Brian Carey (drums), and Matthew Pierce (keyboard, synthesizer, percussion), continue to mine the same breadth of styles made familiar onThe Gathering and Song of the Pearl, notably the languid ballads, fuzzed-out burners, and heavier songs that have defined the group's unique doom laden folk-rock sound.

Arbouretum are also set to release a special Latitudes Sessions, on Southern Records imprint's Latitudes on 12th August 2013. More details on track-listing to follow soon. Other acts who have released Latitudes Sessions in the past include Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Chelsea Wolfe, Gang Gang Dance and Daniel Higgs.
