The picture of the dress went viral earlier this week when Caitlin McNeill, a 21-year-old singer from Scotland, posted the image on her Tumblr account. The story was soon picked up on by such news outlets as Buzzfeed, further fuelling the debate.

Jodie Foster has married her girlfriend of a year, Alexandra Hedison. But who is the Los Angeles photographer?
Jodie Foster has married her girlfriend of a year, Alexandra Hedison. The nuptials have been confirmed by Foster’s publicist, after celebrity network E! began circulating rumors over the weekend. The pair wed at an undisclosed location, although Foster resides in California, which is one of the 17 US states in which gay marriage is legal. Hedison was born and raised in California, so it’s likely that it is where the wedding took place.

Oscar-winning actress Jodie Foster publicly came out at last year’s Golden Globes, announcing “I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago, back in the stone age. In those very quaint days when a fragile young girl would open up to trusted friends and family, coworkers and then gradually, proudly to everyone who knew her. To everyone she actually met.”

Ellen started in the stand up biz back in the early 1980’s, before getting her own sitcom Ellen in 1994. During the fourth season of the sitcom, Ellen publicly announced that she was a lesbian during an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Her character in the sitcom shortly followed suit and, in an episode called “The Puppy Episode”, which received some of the highest-ratings that Ellen had had so far, also came out. The show then went on to tackle some issues faced by the LGBT community, but after another season the show was axed due to falling ratings.

Netflix is considering the renewal as part of its strategy to move into production of original programming.
The fourth season of Arrested Development was such a huge success that Netflix is reportedly in talks for another one. Brian Grazer, co-chair of the production company, Imagine Entertainment, said at the Allen & Co. Conference in Sun Valley, Idaho. Speaking to Bloomberg Television, Grazer explained: “We are in conversations with them to do another. They are interested in doing that.”
Jason Bateman and co. might be back for another season.
The show’s fourth season of the show was part of a large-scale experiment for Netflix, the first phase of the company’s transition from a pure rental service into a producer of online content. Chief Executive Officer Reed Hastings has called “Arrested Development” and other “Netflix originals” integral to his strategy of transforming the company from a purveyor of rerun programming into a Web-based television network offering a mix of Hollywood movies and new shows, comparable to Time Warner Inc.’s HBO.

The beloved show returns with an all new story format.
Hurrah, Arrested Development returns this Sunday. Fans of the original series could not be more excited, while everyone else is just kind of looking around being really confused. The Emmy-award winning show will come back with 15 brand new episodes, to Netflix of all places and in a lot of ways, it will be pretty similar to the Arrested Development we know and love – it will be divided into roughly half-hour episodes, with the entire main cast reprising their roles - Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Jeffrey Tambor, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Jessica Walter and Portia De Rossi.
Jason Bateman returns as Michael Bluth this Sunday.
But creator Mitch Hurwitz warns viewers not to expect a perfect replica of the earlier seasons. Besides the obvious changes, necessitated by the fact that this season comes seven years later, the story will be structured slightly differently. Instead of all the characters appearing most of the time, like we’ve been used to, every episode from season four will be centered around a single character, with the rest of the Bluth family making only occasional appearances. Longtime fans, however, will be rewarded for their dedication, with story arcs that continue over several episodes. Much like his audience, Hurwitz himself could not be more excited by the show’s return. Or more surprised.

The Ellen show became the cause for the long awaited reunion.
Jennifer Aniston got to co-host The Ellen Degeneres Show this week and gave us all a mini Friends reunion in the process. In the slightly awkward, slightly confusing bit, Aniston was nervous about the gig and she naturally went to her former co-star Matthew Perry for some sage advice. Except Perry wasn’t exactly thrilled to see her at the door, at 8AM no less. And when Aniston objected that they “used to do walk into each other’s apartments all the time”, Perry made a valid point (which went straight to the hearts of Friends fans).
Anniston was apparently the brains behind the reunion.
"That was a TV show," he counters. "We haven't actually seen each other in a really long time. Like eight years."

This week's episode of Ellen saw half of the Friends cast reunited.
Well, the long awaited Friends reunion finally happened, though probably not in the way fans of the show had hoped. It might have been a three-minute sketch with just three of the show’s stars, but hey, we take what we can get. The occasion was Jennifer Aniston’s gig co-hosting The Ellen Degeneres Show.
The premise was pretty simple – Jen is nervous and so she goes to seek hosting advice from a veteran – her longtime pal and Friends co-star, Matthew Perry. Except Perry is not really in the mood to talk (“Maybe you shouldn’t show up at somebody’s house at 8AM and you should call first”) To Jen’s dismay, things have changed between the Friends, or maybe, as Perry hints, they were never really all that friendly and it was all just an act for the cameras. Except that’s when Courteney Cox (aka Monica) comes out of his house and the, ahem, stuff hits the fan.
“Court!” Aniston exclaims.
