Portugal's Pop Idol runner-up had a heavy metal treat onstage at the Rock in Rio festival in Lisbon on Sunday (30May10) - he got to perform with rock supergroup HAIL!
Diana Silveira Piedade, 25, joined Tim 'Ripper' Owens, Paul Bostaph and Andreas Kisser onstage for the band's first concert following the death of bass player Paul Gray last week (24May10).
The local singer performed a cover of Iron Maiden's The Number Of The Beast.
HAIL! have recruited Ozzy Osbourne's one-time bass player James Lomenzo to replace Slipknot star Gray for the ongoing European tour.
Former Judas Priest star Owens tells Blabbermouth.net, "It is very sad here without Paul jamming with us. It really breaks my heart. He was so freaking good... But we lucked out to bring another friend in with James Lomenzo. He had to learn a lot of songs and he is really working hard at it... but we think of Paul every minute of the day."
