Polock's new single 'Fireworks' was released on March 21st 2011, this is the first single from their debut album 'Getting Down From The Trees' set for release on April 11 through Mushroom Pillow Records.
Hailing from Valencia, Spain Polock are nothing like much of the euro style pop emerging from the country. Closer to a sun drenched Spanish version of The Strokes, Much like French band Phoenix, Polock are trying to destroy the assumption that only cool bands come from The UK or America.
'Fireworks' includes two remixes from by Lo-Fi-Fnk and Eim Ick. The artwork for both releases are courtesy of friend-of-the-band and respects Spanish artist Carla Fuentes.
Polock played SxSW earlier this month and the band are set to visit the UK in May and have a gig booked at Camden Barfly on May 20th.
'Speak and Spell' was released on this day (October 5th) in 1981.
