Pop star Pink has peeled off her clothes and posed naked in a billboard advertisement for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta).

A 90-foot (27-metre) wide poster of the anti-fur image will be unveiled in New York's Times Square on Wednesday (11Feb15) to mark the start of the city's Fashion Week.

The So What hitmaker is shown smiling and sitting naked with her knees up to her chest in the picture, alongside the slogan 'I'd rather go naked than wear fur - Pink for Peta'.

She says, "I would like to say I've always been fur-free. Unfortunately, I went through a selfish phase and wore fur on a couple of occasions. But I wised up and now boycott fur completely. I wish everyone was forced to learn the horrors that these animals go through for fashion trends. I hope fur-wearers get bitten in the a** by the same kind of animal they wear on their back."

Previous females to star in the campaign include actresses Eva Mendes and Olivia Munn.
