Rock legends Pink Floyd have been inducted into Playboy magazine's Hall of Fame for their "unprecedented combined commercial and musical gravitas".

The British supergroup lead the way in the newly-announced 2005 Music Awards, listed in the new March (06) issue of the men's magazine.

Playboy calls the group "Godfathers of acid and prog rock, ambient music," adding the band is "so integral to the fabric of modern rock 'n' roll".

In the accompanying reader's poll, Foo Fighters, U2, Toby Keith, Gwen Stefani and Kanye West are all among the winners of top awards.
