Sophia Adams winner of Curvy Kate's worldwide lingerie model search - Star in a Bra

Sophia Adams - Sophia Adams, a size 16 trainee police officer who wears a 32JJ bra size, has been crowned the winner of Curvy Kate's worldwide lingerie model search, Star in a Bra. The UK based D-K cup lingerie brand, Curvy Kate, who's misison is to ensure fuller-busted woman feel fabulous about their figure, were proud to announce the 21 year-old from Northolt had been selected by an online vote - beating over 1000 other shapely beauties to the top spot being voted the public's favourite. Trainee police constable, Sophia, who has become the first size 16, JJ cup girl to model lingerie professionally, was severely bullied at school after hitting puberty and growing curves aged just 9. It was thanks to her late grandmother that she managed to get through the bullying and rise above such abuse with a smile on her face. She says: "I was always on the chubby side and my hair was an untameable mess. I was called every name under the sun from whale to man-beast and a lot of other disgusting things too. "She (grandmother) was such a strong minded woman and always told me I was beautiful even when I didn't see it. She's not here anymore but she was the most important person in my life growing up and always will be. She has shaped the person I am today." Sophia finally learnt to accept herself for who she was and speaking of the competition says "I entered star in a bra because I finally have the confidence and would love to model for Curvy Kate. I used to have so many body hang ups, hated my size and wanted to change myself. But as I get older I'm realising it's all about self-love! I'm a size 16, I look after myself and I'm happy the way I am, and I just want to show other women that that's ok. It's all about understanding and embracing we all come in different shapes and sizes." With an 'open to all policy' and a message of diversity and fun, Curvy Kate's Star in a Bra aimed to find confident girls with killer curves that truly represent the brand's custome - - Monday 13th April 2015 (1 Picture)
