Monkey Celebrates His Monumental Mission With A Good Cuppa

Monkey - PG tips tea's Monkey has made history by scaling the top of the View from The Shard. All in the name of Red Nose Day, Monkey donned his red and green outfit, packed up his selfie stick and headed to complete his mission. With the help of his celebri-tea friends, Lucy Mecklenburgh, Thom Evans and Robbie Savage, who helped him train, Monkey overcame his nerves and was looking ship shape and fabulous as he prepared to take on his monumental mission; making his way from the viewing platform to the top of the View from The Shard. After over two hours in hair and make-up with Lucy Mecklenburgh, Monkey began his ascent to a crowd of cheering fans, remembering all the fitness tips imparted to him by Thom Evans during his training. Soon enough he got a case of the wobbles as those big London landmarks suddenly didn't look so big anymore; but thankfully his pal Robbie Savage was on the end of the phone for some last minute emotional support. With some regular pauses for breath and the promise of a hot cuppa at the end, Monkey finally reached the top of the View from The Shard after a nail biting 7 hours and 15 minutes. Talking after his monumental mission, Monkey said "Well I must say it's certainly been a monumental mission but I'm rather proud to be able to say I have scaled the top of the UK's tallest building...and all in the name of Red Nose Day! There were a few wobbles on the way to the top but with a bit of help from my team, I managed to get to the top of the viewing platform of the Shard, where a lovely cuppa was waiting for me."
