Colour Dash charity run at Rother Valley Country Park

Louis Tomlinson's twin sisters - Louis' sisters Lottie (15), Daisy (10), and Phoebe Tomlinson, (10), took part in a five-kilometre un-timed Colour Dash charity run at Rother Valley Country Park in Sheffield to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice. Sally Deakin, sister of Louis' mum's fiancé Daniel Deakin, also took part, completing the course with the girls. One Direction's Louis Tomlinson is a patron of Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice. He had to turn down the opportunity to attend the Colour Dash as he's on a world tour with One Direction. Around 2,000 adults and children were showered from top to toe in vibrant shades of coloured powder to show their support for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice. Colour Dash runs are popular in America, but this was the first event of its kind in South Yorkshire, and saw participants covered in a different colour of powder at each kilometre of the 5k course. Each person ended the event with pink, green, yellow, red and blue powder on their faces and clothes. Helen Mower, head of fundraising at Bluebell Wood, said: "Thank you to everyone for creating a fantastic atmosphere and for making this such a colourful and fun event. We're very grateful for all the support we've received, it's been amazing. "It was an inspiring event and truly wonderful to see so many people getting messy and having a good time while raising sponsorship for Bluebell Wood." Among those taking part were families who use the hospice, so have first-hand knowledge of how it's a happy place full of love, laughter and happiness. Denise Singheyely, whose son Theo, aged seven, regularly visits the hospice, said: "It's been a brilliant day and such a good laugh. Theo loves going to Bluebell Wood. It's a home from home for us." Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice offers care and support to children and young people with a shortened life expectancy, both in their own homes and at their hospice in North Anston.
