Over forty residents of Huntington Station NY on Long Island lost their lives in the World Trade Center (WTC) on September 11 2001. The community opened their memorial the week of June 19 2007. It is located on the grounds of Hecksher Park and art museum. The metal pillars lining the walkway to the fountain are cut from WTC beams. - Sunday 24th June 2007
