FASCINATING FACT 6400

PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN and TONI COLLETTE's new clay-animation film MARY + MAX will open the 25th Sundance Film Festival in Utah in January (09). The film follows a pen-pal friendship between an Aussie girl and an obese middle-aged New Yorker. It will be director Adam Elliot's first trip back to Sundance since he screened his short film Harvie Crumpet there in 2004. The festival proved lucky for the animator as that film went on to win an Oscar.
