FASCINATING FACT 4911

Actress-turned-celebrity auctioneer SHARON STONE helped raise a record $5.1 million (GBP2.55 million) for Aids research at SIR ELTON JOHN's post-Oscars party on Sunday night (24Feb08). The Basic Instinct star put one of her own vintage cars, a 1970s Corvette, under the hammer at the party auction.
