ANGELINA JOLIE has officially signed on to replace TOM CRUISE in director PHILLIP NOYCE's espionage drama, now called simply SALT. The film started pre-production as EDWIN A. SALT, but changed to EDWINA A. SALT when Cruise pulled out and Jolie stepped in. The film centres around a CIA officer, who is exposed as a Russian sleeper spy. The film is set to start shooting in February (09), according to MovieHole.net.
