The movie executives claim Hilton was paid $1 million (£666,670) for her acting services and for reasonable promotion and publicity for the film, which featured the socialite/actress as the president of an exclusive sorority.. A judge rejected a motion by Hilton's legal team to dismiss the lawsuit in May (09) and the trial began on Thursday (09Jul09).. Hilton, who maintains she did her best to promote the picture, is expected in court on Friday..
