New dad MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY turned his home town of Austin, Texas into a desert Hollywood on Wednesday night (03Sep08) when he premiered his new movie SURFER, DUDE there. The actor welcomed pal and co-star Woody Harrelson to join him and his mother Kay on the red carpet. The film opens exclusively in Austin theatres on Friday (05Sep08).
