She would not grant interviews nor did she conduct interviews (they hoped she would). In addition, after speaking she left without attending the race start.. As she spoke she read from her notes, barely looking up making one wonder if the newscaster had stage fright or was facing her worst fear, considering her falling ratings at CBS- returning back to DC to a life of speaking to rallies and such.
