FASCINATING FACT 2043 JACK WHITE's new group THE RACONTEURS was the house band at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York last night (31AUG06). The group was fronted by LOU REED for their opening number, a cover of THE VELVET UNDERGROUND's WHITE HEAT/WHITE LIGHT. The group was later joined by ZZ TOP's BILLY GIBBONS. 01/09/2006
