Soccer mad ROCKET MAN SIR ELTON JOHN missed his favourite team Watford FC - which he was once chairman of - gain promotion to the English Premier League on Sunday (21MAY06) because he fell ill at the Cannes Film Festival and was too unwell to fly to Cardiff, Wales, where the team beat Leeds United 3-0.
