Taylor Swift buys home near Kennedy family compound Country star Taylor Swift is moving closer to America's famous political clan The Kennedys after purchasing a new home near the family compound in Massachusetts. The Love Story hitmaker has been romantically linked to Robert Kennedy, Jr.'s 18-year-old son Conor in recent weeks, and Swift proved she was serious about the relationship earlier this month (Aug12) by introducing her new boyfriend to her parents during a low-key dinner in her home city of Nashville, Tennessee. Now the singer has put down roots in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, buying a beach mansion located opposite the home of Conor's grandmother, Ethel Kennedy, last week (ends12Aug12). The seven-bedroom, five-bathroom property was originally listed for $14 million (£8.75 million), but WENN has confirmed that Swift managed to land the home for just $4.9 million (£3 million) with an all-cash offer. Swift, 22, has been a regular visitor to Hyannis Port since spending America's Independence Day (04Jul12) holiday there with the Kennedys and she has already won the approval of the famous family after meeting through Conor's aunt, Rory, at one of her concerts. Ethel Kennedy recently gushed about Swift's blossoming relationship Conor Kennedy, saying, We should be so lucky (to have her in our family).
