* KATHERINE JACKSON DEDICATES TRIBUTE TO MICHAEL IN INDIANA
It was high noon for the JACKSON family on Friday (25Jun10) as matriarch KATHERINE and her kids JANET, TITO, JERMAINE and RANDY attended Los Angeles and Indiana tributes to superstar MICHAEL within 40 minutes of each other.
Shortly after 12.05pm in the family's native Gary, Indiana, Katherine Jackson unveiled a marble tribute to her son, erected on the lawn of the home where the Jackson legend began.
City Mayor Rudy Clay and Randy Jackson's daughter Genevieve welcomed the family matriarch as she stepped out of the home at 2300 Jackson Avenue.
Wearing a pale yellow pantsuit, Katherine delivered a brief speech to the hundreds of fans who attended the event and then unveiled the stone tribute, which featured Michael Jackson in one of his most famous poses.
Comedian Eddie Griffin, a longtime Jackson family friend, provided a moment of humour at the Indiana ceremony when he performed an impromptu Michael Jackson dance routine on the lawn. (KL/WN/KL)
