file photo* * DAVID BOWIE'S SON IS MARRIED DAVID BOWIE's filmmaker son DUNCAN JONES secretly exchanged vows with his longtime girlfriend last month (Nov12) after discovering she had been diagnosed with cancer. The Moon and Source Code director wed photographer Rodene Ronquillo on 6 November (12). Revealing the news in a series of posts on Twitter.com, the filmmaker writes, "On November 4th, my beautiful fiance @rodeneronquillo & I were, frisking about in bed, as you do. I am a boob man & found... A lump. It was a Sunday, so we had to wait to get an appointment to have the lump biopsied but by Wednesday, we had an answer. Cancer. Stage 2. "We were a little overwhelmed by the news: cancer & Election Day, so decided to make it a set, ran down to the courthouse & got married! So cancer, election, marriage. All on one day! Two days later, Ro was in surgery. Lots has happened between nov 6 and now." Jones reveals his new wife is planning to start blogging about her cancer battle, but in the meantime he is urging all young women to get tested for the disease - immediately. He adds, "I love my wife more than anyone. She's young as can be. Women are getting breast cancer younger & younger. Women? check yourselves! ..& men? Touch up your loved ones. You may save the life of the person you love." The 32 year old is due to begin chemotherapy on Tuesday (11Dec12) and Jones has already shaved his head as a show of support, posting a photo of himself kissing his new wife on Twitter.
