Philip Seymour Hoffman's death cast a sombre shadow over showbiz this week but new movie news and surprise performances from a certain Prince kept our spirits high.
RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman: The world lost a true talent when actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his apartment last Sunday after a suspected heroin overdose, aged 46. The father-of-three's break-up with his partner Mimi O'Donnell is said to have caused the Capote star to turn to drugs and not the confusion over his sexuality, as was falsely alleged by the National Enquirer. Since the death, four suspected drug dealers have been arrested and are being questioned with regards to selling Hoffman, who was found with a syringe in his arm, a bad batch.
