LATEST: Phil Spector was standing within 90 centimetres (three feet) of Lana Clarkson when she was fatally shot, a forensics expert testified at the music producer's murder trial on Thursday (21Jun07). Lynne Herold, the chief analyst of the evidence against Spector, told the Los Angeles court that the "mist-like" blood stains on his white jacket showed he was standing to the victim's right with both arms raised when the gun was fired. On Wednesday (20Jun07), Herold explained how blood patterns proved Clarkson's body was moved following the fatal gunshot. She testified that "by inference" the person to have moved Clarkson would have been Spector. Herold is the final prosecution witness to take the stand. Spector is accused of the fatal shooting of Clarkson at his Alhambra, California home in February 2003. He has pleaded not guilty and claims Clarkson committed suicide. The trial continues.
