It is thought fashion designer Rei Kawakubo has personally hand-picked the star to add to the label's range of scents, reports WWD.
CEO of Comme des Garçons Parfums SA, Adrian Joffe revealed Pharrell was very particular about what he wanted the scent to smell like.
He explained: ''[Pharrell] knew exactly what he wanted the perfume to smell like right from the beginning.''
Meanwhile, the 40-year-old music producer claims he is delighted to be collaborating with Comme de Garcons and is excited about the project.
He said: ''I am so honoured to be working with Comme des Garçons and cherish the education that I've experienced in this collaboration.''
Pharrell has already proved his ability to sell a product as he already has a number of successful fashion business ventures under his belt including two fashion labels, Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream.
