Rapper Petey Pablo gave his mum a special Mother's Day treat, by giving her the opportunity to record her very own CD.
The hip-hop star arranged musicians, paid for studio time and even devised beats just for the occasion. He plans to sell the disc on a website for his record label WRIGHT BROTHERS RECORDS, which launches this summer (04).
He says, "My mother can sing. Now that I'm able to grant those dreams that we had once, I just want her to have an opportunity of going into the studio and really singing, doing her thing."
But the North Carolina native is quick to point out his mother doesn't have any plans to become a singing star.
He explains, "She doesn't want to be an artist. This is just (me being) a dream fulfiller."11/05/2004 10:43
