Emma Stone is inspired by Andrew Garfield.

The 25-year-old actress, who has been dating her 'The Amazing SPIDER-MAN 2' co-star since 2011, insists their chemistry on set has inspired her as an actress.

She told the New York Daily News newspaper: ''It's one of the things you kind of dream of as an actor. To find chemistry or a repartee with another actor like that. It makes it feel like you're always being challenged, and you're bobbing and weaving.

Andrew Garfield wants his 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' alter-ego to be gay.

The 29-year-old actor - who is dating co-star Emma Stone, who plays Gwen Stacy in the film - would prefer it if Spider-Man/Peter Parker was into men rather than women and even suggested to producer Matt Tolmach that his on-screen love interest Mary Jane Watson could be a guy.

He told Entertainment Weekly: ''I was kind of joking, but kind of not joking about MJ. And I was like, 'What if MJ is a dude?' Why can't we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality?

The actor revealed that the movie's director quickly took on his idea to include the item as a mode of transport for Peter Parker.

In the comic books, George, a New York police captain, died in an accident during a battle between Spider-Man and villain Doctor Octopus, leading Gwen to hate the hero.
