Kiss star Peter Criss is to be honoured for his drumming skills with an award from instrument retail chain Guitar Center.
The veteran rocker will be inducted as a Drum Legend along with Frank Zappa percussionist Terry Bozzio, following in the footsteps of previous recipients including Led Zeppelin's John Bonham and jazz star Billy Cobham.
The induction fetes drummers who have made significant contributions to the craft and the pair will be honoured at an event in Los Angeles on 14 January (12).
