Peter Andre says that love and pain are strongly linked.

Peter Andre says that love does not come without pain.

The 'Mysterious Girl' singer's love life has been the subject of much speculation since he married former page three girl Katie Price in 2005, and he says that he continues to understand more about love every day.

He explained to Closer magazine: ''Life is weird how it puts you in certain places - I never thought I'd meet someone like Emily [MacDonagh, Peter's medical student fiancee]. I met her when her dad [surgeon Ruaraidh MacDonagh] performed an operation on me.

''It goes to show that there's no love without pain. If, for some crazy reason, it doesn't work about between us, it'll be my fault - Emily is such a good person, she will never do anything to make me want to leave her.''

Peter's fame peaked in the mid-2000s, when he met his future wife Katie Price on 'I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!'

The romance captured the imagination of the public and continued to attract plenty of attention until they divorced in 2009.

Peter and Emily have been dating for two years, and have a baby girl together, Amelia.
