Music producer Pete Waterman is mourning following the tragic death of his son.
PAUL, 33 - who had been in hospital for several months battling a serious mystery illness - died at the Institute of Neurology in Central London on 3 January (05), days after his father became an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in Queen Elizabeth II's New Year Honours List.
Grieving Waterman - who propelled artists like Kylie Minogue, JASON DONOVAN and Steps to pop glory - says, "Paul peacefully passed away on January 3 after an illness which had kept him in hospital since June (04).
"We would like to thank everyone for their kind regards and sympathies. We hope that you will leave us to grieve our loss in private."
The product of the Waterman's first failed marriage, Paul reunited with his dad at the age of 16 when he joined his PWL firm.06/01/2005 09:41
