Late folk legend PETE SEEGER is to be honoured with a free five-day festival in New York this summer (Jul14).

The Seeger Fest, which will run from 17-21 July (14), will celebrate the lives of the singer/songwriter and his late wife, Toshi, according to the couple's grandson Kitama Cahill-Jackson.

The event will include a memorial service at the Bardavon Opera House in Poughkeepsie and concerts throughout the state, featuring the Chapin Sisters and Steve Earle.

Seeger passed away in January (14), aged 94.
