British rocker Pete Doherty is desperately trying to reunite his band Babyshambles after they announced they would tour without him.
Bassist Drew MCConnell and guitarist Mik Whitnall announced earlier this month (Jan12) they were lining up a string of gigs without their controversial frontman, who has relocated to Paris, France to pursue an acting career.
But following the reports, Doherty made two panic phone calls to MCConnell to invite his fellow rockers to his new home to discuss their next project.
MCConnell tells NME magazine, "Peter's called me twice since the last time I spoke to Nme. His exact words were, 'Let's get the band back together.' And that's sweet, it's nice. We're talking about Mik and I going over to Paris and staying at his for a few days soon."
