Troubled rocker Pete Doherty tried to improve his relationship with police last night (16MAR05) - by giving officers a private performance of his songs when they visited to check he's obeying his curfew.

The Babyshambles frontman is not allowed to leave his premises after 10pm as part of his bail agreement, after he was released from prison last month (08FEB05) for robbery and blackmail charges.

But Doherty proved he's come to terms with his strict curfew, by serenading the police officers, who arrived at his London flat at midnight.

A source says, "The police arrived, Pete, as ever, was a bundle of fun. He played them a couple of Babyshambles songs.

"The officers thought it was hilarious. He then went on serenading his girlfriend, supermodel Kate Moss late into the night."
