Troubled British rocker Pete Doherty is considering playing a one-off concert for inmates at London's Pentonville Prison. The Babyshambles frontman spent several days behind bars at the institution last year (05), after he was accused of assault and blackmail by film-maker MAX CARLISH. The charges were later dropped and Doherty is keen to return to the notorious jail as a free man to entertain the convicts he spent time with. A friend of the singer says, "Pete knows the staff and inmates from his stays and thinks it will be good for prison morale. "He loves the idea of making it into a prison tour and recording the shows." Doherty today (20APR06) escaped being jailed again on drugs charges and was instead placed on a two-year supervision order and must spend 18 months attending a drugs rehabilitation programme.
