Pet Shop Boys star Neil Tennant has saluted his parents for the "journey" they made in an effort to come to terms with their son's sexuality.
The It's A Sin singer's Catholic mum and dad both died within the past year and now he's paying tribute to them for the way they learned to accept his decision to be gay.
In an interview with gay publication Out, Tennant says, "My mother once apparently asked my sister, 'Is Neil one of them?' And, of course, they read I was gay.
"They went on this amazing journey where they quite liked the fact I was gay by the end."
