As Deadline reports, Justin Theroux, who co-wrote Tropic Thunder with Stiller, has written the script and Stiller will once again be directing and starring as Derek Zoolander.

Owen Wilson, who starred as Zoolander's rival model and eventual friend Hansel McDonald, is also rumoured to be returning but reports are yet to be confirmed. Will Ferrell may also be reprising his role as dastardly fashion designer Jacobim Mugatu in the sequel.

Stiller, who has been working on a sequel for a number of years, suggested in an interview in 2010 that the film will focus on how quickly the fashion industry moves on. The film is set ten years on from the first film and, as the Guardian reports, will see Zoolander forced to reinvent himself after falling out of favour in the fashion industry.

It's been 13 years since Zoolander was released in cinemas and many of the actors involved have become huge global stars. Stiller, Wilson and Ferrell have continued to enjoy huge success with their unique comedy styling and even some who had bit parts in the film, such as True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard, have become well recognised faces. It will certainly be interesting to see how, with years more experience, how Stiller and his co-stars (if they are indeed returning) reprise their characters thirteen years on.

Now we'll just have to see if Zoolander can still remember how to turn left...
