Rockers Pearl Jam have paid tribute to the producer behind their iconic debut album Ten.

Rick Parashar, 50, passed away on Thursday (14Aug14) at his home in Seattle, Washington after suffering a fatal blood clot, and his death has sent shockwaves across the music industry.

The stars of Pearl Jam have now offered up a moving tribute to their former collaborator, posting a picture of him on their website and across social media along with the message, "Rip to Rick Parashar who worked on Ten and (Eddie Vedder's pre-Pearl Jam band) Temple of the Dog. Our condolences go out to Rick's friends and family."

Parashar also worked with rockers Alice In Chains, who posted a snap on their own website, adding, "Remembering Rick Parashar today. Another good soul gone too soon. Our thoughts are with... the rest of the family."

Another of the producer's famous acts, Nickelback, also offered up a tribute to their late pal, writing in a post on Twitter.com, "Very sad to hear about the passing of Rick Parashar. Our thoughts are with his family & loved ones. Rip Rick."
