Peaches Geldof may have owed roughly £450,000 in debts at the time of her death last year, a new report from The Daily Mirror has suggested.

The 25 year old socialite, and daughter of rock star and philanthropist Sir Bob Geldof, died suddenly from a heroin overdose in April 2014 at her home in Wrotham, Kent. She left no will, but details of her estate have apparently been obtained by the British tabloid paper.

Leaving a gross estate of £884,274, that total was reduced to £394,630 after debts and outstanding affairs were settled. Under the laws of intestacy, £250,000 of that will go to her husband, former rock star Tom Cohen, with the remainder to their two young children, Astala (3) and Phaedra (2). It is not known, however, what those debts might relate to.

Peaches had started a brief career in journalism before becoming the writer and presenter of two reality TV shows. She also modelled for lingerie line Agent Provocateur and the Australian fashion brand Dotti.

She was found by a post-mortem to have had substantial amounts of heroin in her system, a gruesome echo of the death of her mother Paula Yates, who died in 2000 of the same cause.

“Part of me kind of half-expected [it with] Peaches, to be honest with you,” her father recently revealed in an interview with an Irish radio station. “The way she was carrying on, there’s nothing you can do about it.”

“This thing of being forever 25, in my head, that’s unbearable, simply because of that cliché – you’re not supposed to see your children die. My daughter is with me every second of the day and she’s the one who bounds into my consciousness at any moment, especially when I’m not doing something.”
