Peaches Geldof and her husband sleep in separate bedrooms.
The 24-year-old star and her spouse Tom Cohen are advocates of attachment parenting - where a mother spends lots of time in close contact with her baby - but her five-month-old son Phaedra disturbs the sleep of the rocker and their elder child Astala, 18 months, so the couple had to abandon their plan of all spending the night in the same bed.
Peaches said: ''It's hardcore in my house. We had a bed made that's 9ft long and 8ft wide so that we could all sleep in it, but Phaedra's crying wakes Astala. So I sleep with Phaedra and Tom sleeps with Astala in the spare room.''
The couple rely on Tom's parents taking the boys at weekends so they can have quality time together as a pair.
Peaches added: ''It's not great for our intimate life so, thank God, we have those weekends. If we didn't have them, we'd be at each other's throats.
''It sounds really sad but it'll only be until Phaedra stops crying in the night.''
While Peaches used to be known for her wild partying, she admits these days she leads a much quieter lifestyle - much to her own surprise.
She added to Grazia magazine: ''I'm in bed by 8pm nearly every night. This is not what I thought I'd be doing three years ago when I was the poster girl for partying in London. I'm soppy these days. Before I was the Iron Lady, very cynical. Now I'm the soft, cheesy, pizza lady.''
The BBC drama starring Aidan Turner returns to BBC One on September 4th.
