The Son in Law star's popular The Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip was targeted by criminals, who forcibly removed an ATM machine from the building's outside wall, in the early hours of Monday (23Mar15).

Authorities have obtained surveillance footage from the area, but have yet to identify the culprits, according to TMZ.com.

Shore's father Sammy co-founded The Comedy Store in 1972, and TV titan Johnny Carson was one of the first comics to perform there.

Pauly Shore's mother Mitzi took over the club in 1973, and bought the building in 1976, when it became a regular spot for comedians like Richard Pryor and Andrew DICe Clay to try out new material.
