American actress Pauley Perrette is funding a two-state search for the sick killers of two young girls. The NCIS star makes a charity contribution on her birthday every year, and this past March (07) she decided to donate $20,000 (GBP10,000) to a search for those responsible for killing girls in Michigan and Alabama. The actress, who plays forensic specialist Abby Sciuto in the TV drama series, was watching her favourite show, America's Most Wanted, when she first learned about the murders - and felt compelled to do something to help. She says, "I couldn't stop thinking about those two little girls." The actress joined America's Most Wanted host John Walsh as part of an upcoming special about the murders, where she visited members of the victims' families. She then presented $10,000 cheques to each law enforcement agency chasing the killers. In addition, Pauley will fly to Washington, D.C. this weekend (08-09Sep07) to be a part of the call centre set up to deal with incoming information about the murders following the broadcast of the America's Most Wanted special on Saturday (08Sep07).
